Therapeutic Massage

The options below highlight the authentic nature of care given by our massage therapy team:

  • Orthopedic Therapeutic Massage Session$89 (50 min)

Orthopedic massage focuses on correcting a physical problem, pain, or dysfunction. The first step in our Orthopedic Therapeutic Massage is assessment, in which the therapist will assess the tissue and establish a treatment plan, considering the physiological effects of various massage techniques. This style of massage is highly flexible, as it integrates a wide range of therapeutic styles with the end goal of improving tissue healing. Depending on the issue, the Massage Therapist may recommend multiple sessions to treat the problem, to ensure that it is eliminated and to build up strength and resistance in the affected area to prevent future recurrences. Because this type of massage is designed to treat orthopedic conditions, it requires extensive medical/therapeutic training.

  • Sports Therapeutic Massage Session$89 (50 min)

Passive techniques have been developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event or function well during training. Our Sports Therapeutic Massage is the specific application of muscle manipulation, with the intent of increasing circulation to encourage cellular healing, and range of motion/flexibility enhancement to support your sport specific goals. The emphasis is on prevention and healing of injuries as you are training for an event or starting a new exercise training program. Depending on your sport, your therapist can help you outline the best way to line up your Sports Therapeutic Massage Session to optimize performance and recovery.

  • Restorative Therapeutic Massage Session$89 (50 min)

Although the goal is deep Central Nervous System relaxation, this is not your average relaxation massage. Our Restorative Session is designed to, encourage blood flow to nourish cells, reduce metabolic waste build up, promote cellular renewal, reduce stress, relax muscles and diminish pain. During this Session, your therapist will tailor the depth of pressure to suit your goals. You will be tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system by the use of continuous flow. By encouraging lymph flow, opening nerve communication and reaching a true Central Nervous System relaxation, poor muscle movement patterns and overall tension are transcended, as your mind lets go. Hence, restoring the body to a state of increased energy and vitality, ready to face new experiences and challenges.

  • Osteopathic Acupressure Therapy$109 (50 min)

Osteopathic acupressure therapy is an effective form of hands-on bodywork comprised of trigger point therapy, myofascial release, medical acupressure, and passive stretching. Osteopathic acupressure therapy focuses on unique pressure points in the body as well as the meridian points in order to provide a holistic and total body healing treatment. Some of the benefits of osteopathic acupressure therapy include, elimination of aches and pains, enhanced mood, increased range of motion, better posture, improved balance, decreased stress, greater sense of connection between mind and body and improved internal functioning of the entire body. Osteopathic acupressure aims to address the root causes of disease, pain, or dysfunction rather than just the symptoms.

  • Cupping Treatment$20

Cupping therapy uses negative pressure as in suction to lift tissues up and draw in fresh blood flow and intercellular fluids to stagnant tissues and drain stagnate fluid and metabolic waste away from injured tissues. The movement with suction cups releases rigid soft tissues, loosens adhesions and allows space between layers of tissues to promote circulation. This application addresses myriad of acute or chronic, stubborn myofascial dysfunction. Using cupping therapy with soft tissue mobilization techniques such as trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, will effectively achieve far reaching results. Lifting the skin and underlying tissues up also engages parasympathetic nervous system allowing deep relaxation to move through the entire body. You will feel relaxed, relieved, warm and light. Your body will move with fluid glide and your pain will be markedly decreased.
