Colleen Roncal
Operations, Human Resources & Payroll Manager

A California native, Colleen was born and raised in Long beach. Colleen comes to SportsFit with more than seven years experience in the medical field. She acquired her bachelor’s degree in human development at the University of California, San Diego as well as an associate’s degree in both clinical and administrative medical assisting from San Diego Mesa College. She started her medical career as a certified medical assistant, working for an internal medicine doctor, where she discovered her love for patient care. She then transitioned her career as a certified administrative medical assistant when she began working for Sharp Health Care’s behavioral health hospital, Sharp Mesa Vista. At Sharp Mesa Vista, Colleen worked as the team lead for patient access services and gained knowledge of insurances as an insurance verification representative for both inpatient and outpatient services. After living in San Diego for over 11 years, she returned back home to Long Beach and found her new home at SportsFit Physical Therapy.

Outside of work, Colleen enjoys exploring outdoors, practicing yoga, lifting weights at the gym, reading, and finding new restaurants!
